'Our Father in Heaven' is a term used in prayer, but it is true in every sense of those words. God is not just the almighty creator, but He is our Father, and we are His children. In life, one of our greatest needs is our need to belong. Never forget that as a believer, we belong to God through Jesus Christ. That thought fills me with such joy, love, and hope, knowing that we are, always and forever, a beloved child of God's.
And, regardless of our gender, race, cultural background, status, or any social classification, we are united together as family in Christ. We are brothers and sisters, together bounded by the love and grace of Christ. When you encounter others who have been baptized through their faith in Christ Jesus, know that you are in the company of your family, and it is a community you can call home.
Reflection: As you pray today, be in acknowledgement of God as your Father, and accept His love as His child.
